Overview
The Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Technologies program at Rose State College is designed to equip students with essential skills in deploying artificial intelligence principles, applying machine learning algorithms, analyzing natural language data, and deploying basic computer vision solutions. Graduates will be prepared to enter the workforce in AI-related fields.
Program Goals and Outcomes
- Students will deploy artificial intelligence principles or methodologies.
- Students will apply fundamental machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Students will analyze natural language data.
- Students will deploy basic computer vision solutions.
Degree Plan
The degree consists of 64 credit hours, including general education and program-specific courses:
General Education Requirements (37 hours minimum)
- English Composition (9 hours): ENGL 1113, ENGL 1213, ENGL 2053
- U.S. History/U.S. Government (6 hours): HIST 1483 or HIST 1493, POLS 1113
- Sciences (7 hours): Choose from electives such as BIOL, CHEM, PHYS, or others
- Mathematics (9 hours): MATH 1513, MATH 2103, MATH 2083
- Humanities (3 hours): PHIL 2113
- Liberal Arts (3 hours): PHIL 2603
